“People are doing a lot of counting these days, and we’re adding one more thing to the list,” announced Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Jerry Greenfield. “Now along with gray hairs and political scandals, people can also count the fat grams in a serving of our low fat ice cream. Fortunately with us, folks only need to count to three.”
Ben & Jerry’s new line of Low Fat Ice Cream is available in four “chunk-full” flavors:
All four flavors are certified Kosher.
“Consumers love our original ice cream, but the success of our frozen yogurt and sorbet lines has demonstrated that our customers also look for choices,” explained Mary Lou Kelley, Ben & Jerry’s Director of Marketing Strategy. “We believe that offering customers the choice of a low fat ice cream -- complete with all the chunks, swirls, flavors, and fun that people expect from Ben & Jerry’s -- is an all-natural hit.”
Beginning in April, Ben & Jerry’s Low Fat Ice Cream will be available through Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops and through grocery stores nationwide.
