Our Waterbury site, which was our first factory built in 1985, continues to manufacture approximately 350,000 pints per day and our Scoop Shop continues to tickle the taste buds of fans who visit from around the world.
While we’ve yet to resume offering indoor factory tours or opening our gift shop, we are excited to welcome you for a visit to our scoop shop - where you can enjoy a favorite flavor or discover a new one.

During summer, fall, and the holiday season, tours can sell out quickly, resulting in wait times of up to two hours. Please plan accordingly. You are welcome to come by and purchase tickets for a later tour time, head off to visit the area, and then return for your specific tour.

Enjoy your favorite flavors in freshly baked waffle cones, legendary milkshakes and sundaes with all the toppings, including our mini-Vermonster and Vermonster sundaes. For special occasions, we have ready-to-go and custom-made ice cream cakes available to order online or by calling 802-882-2034.
Yes, a sample of the day is included in the factory tour. Additional taste test-sized samples are offered in the scoop shop upon request to help you decide which flavor you would like to enjoy.
No. Purchasing a ticket for a specific time saves you a spot on that tour. We ask that you please arrive in the tour lobby a few minutes before the start of the tour.
Sorry, no. We only accept reservations for groups of 10 or more.
No, tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis daily. You can, however, purchase tickets earlier in the day for a tour time that is later in the same day, which will allow you to leave for an extended period of time and return for your specified tour time.

Nope, but you may visit it any time at your leisure. It is located up the hill, behind the plant, to the far left of the playground. It’s a bit of a walk, but worth it!

Not much. The tour route takes you upstairs to the Cow Over the Moon Theater, the glassed-in mezzanine then downstairs to the Flavo-Room.
The tour remains the same, except you will not see any product or employees on the manufacturing floor. Your tour guide will narrate a video that explains the ice cream making process.

Yes. We have an ice cream shop serving up cups, cones, milkshakes and sundaes as well as a gift shop where you can find all things Ben & Jerry's.
Not inside-with the exception of service animals. Leashed pets are allowed on the grounds. Please do not leave your pet in your vehicle during the warmer months.
