Skittles
Name: Skittles
Breed: My mom did a DNA test on me and it said I was 25% Catahoula Leopard, 25% Chow, 12.5% German Shepherd, 12.5% Labrador Retriever, 25% too diluted to tell. I don’t know what all that means but I do know I’m a dog and not a cat, like my sister, Digby.
Rescue? I was born in Louisiana and was turned over to the local shelter by a bank when I was a puppy. My human mom adopted me when I was 4-1/2 months old from Random Rescue.
Human’s name & position: Janice K., Design
Fantasy flavor: My mom won’t let me eat ice cream but one time we had dog ice cream at the office and I liked that – a lot!
Highlight of my day: The highlight of my work day is when Cathie in Design gives me a massage every time I go outside. I’ll even go to her desk when she’s not there and wait for her to come back. The highlight of my whole entire day is going to the dog park to run and play. I run really, really, really fast. And I dig deep holes really, really, really fast. There are pictures to prove it.
What I think my human does all day: My mom’s main job is to take me out for walks – at least five a day, and two of them had better be to the dog park. Any other time you can find her sitting around drawing pretty pictures on her computer.
Best thing about being a K-9 to 5’er: I get to be with my mom all day. I’m really scared most of the time, and there are a lot of coworkers who help me by stopping by to pet me and give me treats. I’m slowly gaining confidence, but it’s not easy.
If I had my way around here, I’d create a fenced area outdoors so I could play with my co-K9 to 5’ers. My mom won’t let me go off leash because I like to run (see above…below), so I can’t play when I’m at work…but I want to so badly!
Pet peeves: Carts. They scare me.
