Edible Dessert Bowls

Who needs plain dishes when you can eat the bowl too? This dessert bowl recipe turns chocolate into a crunchy, edible bowl for ice cream that’s as fun to make as it is to devour.

With just a little melting and molding, you’ll have an edible chocolate bowl that holds your favorite scoops and toppings. It’s simple, sweet, and guaranteed to take your ice cream game to the next level.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegan chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon organic canola oil
  • Ben & Jerry’s “Milk” & Cookies Non-Dairy
  • Vegan sprinkles (optional garnish)
Directions
  1. Step 1

Blow up 6 small water balloons. Line a baking sheet with parchment. Melt chocolate chips and oil in a small bowl in the microwave at 50% power in 30 second increments stirring in between until melted. Let the chocolate cool 5 minutes or until no longer warm to the touch.

  2. Step 2

Spread 1 teaspoon of the chocolate into 6 small circles spaced 4 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet to form the base of the bowls. Then, holding the top of each balloon, dip each one into the chocolate to coat the bottom third, shake off the excess, and stand on top of the chocolate circles. Freeze for 20 minutes.

  3. Step 3

Use a sharp knife or pin to pop the balloons and peel away any pieces of balloon that remain.

  4. Step 4

Use an offset spatula to place the chocolate bowls on serving plates. Fill each with a large scoop of Ben & Jerry’s “Milk” & Cookies Non-Dairy and garnish with vegan sprinkles. Serve and enjoy!
