Here at Ben & Jerry’s, we know that the funky chunks and swirls we put into our ice cream and frozen yogurt is what makes us deliciously unique. We love hearing our fans talk about their favorite flavors like Cherry Garcia, New York Super Fudge Chunk and Chunky Monkey. That’s why whenever we make any changes, we make sure to keep our fans in the loop.
Over the next couple months, fans of Coffee Heath® Bar Crunch, Vanilla Heath® Bar Crunch and Everything But The…® may notice a slight change. Why mess with perfection? Ben & Jerry’s has made a commitment to source Fairtrade Certified and non-GMO ingredients wherever possible and will therefore begin using an equally-delicious fudge-covered toffee piece in place of Hershey’s Heath® bars. To accompany this sourcing shift, Vanilla Heath® Bar Crunch and Coffee Heath® Bar Crunch will be renamed to Vanilla Toffee Bar Crunch and Coffee Toffee Bar Crunch, respectively. This transition will affect product sold in both pints and Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops. Product bearing the new names will begin to show up on shelves in Spring 2014. Rest assured: the Ben & Jerry’s Flavor Gurus have thoroughly tested the new toffee piece and are certain you will still continue to love these classic Ben & Jerry’s flavors.
