How To Suggest Your Own Ben & Jerry's Flavor
Call us biased, but we think our Ben & Jerry’s flavor creations are the best around. We also think our fans are the best around. Without them, we may never have created Cherry Garcia or Chubby Hubby.
The year was 1987. Fringed boots and tassel loafers were all the rage, and we received an anonymous postcard from Maine. The writer suggested we create Cherry Garcia as a tribute to Jerry Garcia. We loved cherries, and we loved The Grateful Dead, so we got to work perfecting the flavor.
Chubby Hubby’s story is a bit different. It started as a prank, a joke two women played on an office worker who wouldn’t stop raving about his love for Ben & Jerry’s. They invented the flavor out of thin air, teased him when it couldn’t be found in stores, created their own test pint to soothe their upset friend, and showed us just how delicious peanutty fudge-covered pretzels could be.
Pretty cool, right? Two of our most iconic flavors came from fans like you. Follow these steps and you may be the next ice cream genius to see their idea brought to life!

Name Your Flavor
We pride ourselves on having the most creative names in our grocer’s freezer aisle. Your flavor creation should be no different. Maybe it rhymes. Maybe it doesn’t. It can be one syllable. It can be ten. Our only request is that it’s awesome.
