Because man cannot subsist on ice cream alone, (so we're told. The jury's still out...) we’re always on the lookout for savory restaurants that source their ingredients locally. Once we arrived in Tampa, we got down to business looking for the tastiest local eateries using ingredients found in Tampa Bay’s own back yard. Here’ s a peek at some of our favorites.
SideBern’s
Known for offering delicious tasting menus, Chef Chad Johnson—a James Beard semifinalist—takes diners on a culinary journey of New American Cuisine.
What to try: Stuffed Rabbit Saddle, Butter Lettuce Salad
Élevage
Situated in the Epicurean Hotel, Élevage’s menu items are as local as they come. In fact, one of their salads is entirely composed of lettuce grown right in the lobby. Stop by for lunch and taste the difference yourself.

Recently opened in Seminole Heights, Rooster & the Till hits a high note with expertly crafted small plates. They also feature a selection of local and craft brews that will surprise and delight your taste buds.

Located right on Beach Drive in St. Pete, this perfect weekend spot offers reprieve from the heat after a long day in the sun. Make sure to hit The Canopy rooftop bar for drinks after dinner.

The menu changes weekly at this Seminole Heights staple. Farm-to-table fare served with a down home twist makes delicious, gourmet food approachable at this must-try.
