It’s come down to the wire and, after much hard campaign work, there are just days left for voters in Washington state to stand up for the right to know what’s in their food.
For us, it’s not a complicated issue. It’s a simple matter of transparency and your right to know. There are those that have said that labeling will increase the cost of food. Studies have shown it’s not true. In over 60 countries companies label food with genetically engineered ingredients without raising costs.
We’ve been extremely proud to support the strong grassroots campaign in Washington state supporting a yes vote on i522, the ballot initiative for mandatory GMO labeling.
In the final days of the campaign, we’ll continue to urge Washingtonians to use their ballots to vote YES on i522 by November 8, 2013. You may hear Jerry on the radio urging a yes vote, or see us in website ads or Facebook posts. We hope you’ll join us in standing up for a right to know. Vote yes on i522!
