Forgotten Flavors We Still Love

August 14, 2014

We read the comments. We see what happens in Scoop Shops. We know you all favor certain Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors over others, and, quite frankly, we don’t blame you. We have our favorites, too. But we also know a thing or two about being the underdog. There’s something special about having to fight for your place at the table.

That’s why we put together this list of our favorite not-favorite flavors. They’re not the first things you think of when you hear Ben & Jerry’s, but definitely worth digging a spoon into. Who knows, you might just find your new go-to flavor.

  • Chocolate Peppermint Crunch

We call it Crunch because the Mint Chocolate Cookie Balls crunch. In your mouth. In delicious bite after bite with chocolate ice cream and peppermint and fudge swirls.

  • S'mores

Remember that time you went to that place and that guy lit a fire and everyone ate S’mores? This flavor is just like that. Except it’s in ice cream form and it won’t make your hoodie smell like smoke.

  • Cinnamon Buns

There used to be a time when a person went through life admitting they never had cinnamon bun dough and a cinnamon streusel swirl. We put an end to that.

  • Coffee, Coffee BuzzBuzzBuzz

Did you know that coffee is more popular than tea among coffee drinkers who prefer coffee? It’s true! We used that insight to combine coffee ice cream with espresso bean fudge chunks. The results spoon themselves.

  • Red Velvet Cake

Truth time: Nothing beats turning delicious desserts into even more delicious ice cream flavors. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it as ice cream, too?

  • Triple Caramel Chunk

Caramel is cool. Double caramel is double delicious. But Triple Caramel Chunk? That’s the stuff ice cream dreams are made of.

  • Banana Split

We could have stopped at banana ice cream. But we didn’t. We added strawberry to the mix. Why? We’re Ben & Jerry’s, that’s why!

  • Milk & Cookies

There’s something comforting about eating one of our favorite after-school snacks in pint form. Take a bite of the chocolate cookie swirl and see if you don’t agree.

  • Vanilla Caramel Fudge

If we told you this flavor had three main components, would you guess they were vanilla, caramel, and fudge? If so, we owe you a high five!

  • Vanilla

There’s nothing vanilla about our vanilla that won an internet taste test for being the best tasting vanilla ice cream. That’s got to be worth something, right?
