Believe it or not, The Tonight Dough Starring Jimmy Fallon is even sweeter than you think. Beyond all those dough chunks and cookie swirls, there's something extra special in every pint.
All of Jimmy Fallon's royalties from sales of The Tonight Dough support SeriousFun Children’s Network, an organization that gives kids with serious illnesses the opportunity to have a one-of-a-kind camp experience filled with their own seriously fun brand of euphoria. S’mores, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and catching fireflies—just some of the magic being made by the good folks at SeriousFun — all free of charge for the children's families.
Last night, Jimmy got pretty musical with members of Fleetwood Mac and kids from the SeriousFun camps in celebration of a seriously huge milestone: over $1 million has been donated to the SeriousFun Children's Network from sales of The Tonight Dough! We say that's pretty sweet.
A Million-Dollar Milestone
Since the launch of The Tonight Dough two years ago, just over $1,000,000 has gone to the SeriousFun Children's Network. Whoa! That's something to be proud of, dough lovers! That's a whole lot of s'mores and campfires and top bunks to fight over.
“We are thrilled to reach this incredible $1 million milestone from ‘The Tonight Dough’ sales through our relationship with Jimmy Fallon and Ben & Jerry’s,” said SeriousFun CEO Blake Maher. “They are both fantastic partners whose support helps ensure that we can provide transformative camp experiences to children living with many different types of serious illnesses all around the world, totally free of charge.”
Life-Changing Experiences
Founded by the late, great actor and philanthropist Paul Newman in 1988, SeriousFun has helped over 600,000 children and their family members from more than 50 countries. Newman knew the camps his organization funded were life-changing: “It’s not that the children say, ‘Thanks for a wonderful time.’ It’s that they say, ‘Thank you for changing my life,’” he says. With 30 camps worldwide and still growing, it’s an organization we are proud to support, and a shining example of how ice cream euphoria can have a serious ripple effect.
Everything about SeriousFun is united around the simple belief that all kids deserve to experience the joys of childhood, regardless of their health. On the surface, it might be all fun and games, but what’s less obvious is the sense of independence, resilience and self-esteem SeriousFun instills in its campers. It’s building friendships, fulfilling dreams and helping kids gain the confidence to reach beyond their medical conditions.
All of SeriousFun’s programs and facilities are specially adapted to meet the medical needs and different cultural backgrounds of campers. State-of-the-art onsite medical expertise supports more than 50 different medical conditions, including cancer, HIV, blood disorders, heart diseases and severe asthma. The wide array of adaptive programs isn’t limited to traditional summer camp activities either, with family and sibling weekends, winter sports programs and outreach in hospitals, to name a few. All in all, it’s an incredible outpouring of love and support that creates a safe environment where kids can be kids.
