A New Flavor ‘For The People’ – Literally!
Join Us for the Big Reveal
Sometimes when we’re passionate about something, we express it through ice cream. It’s our own special way of showing how much we care—we put all that passion and energy into creating a new concoction of creamy, chunky goodness churned for a cause.
We’re Doing It Again
If you haven’t noticed, we’re all fired up about our democracy. So we’re adding a new flavor to our family that is dedicated to spreading the message! And not just any flavor – a delicious flavor with a powerful message about our less-than-sweet democracy. The flavor is still under wraps, but we can tell you all about the issue that inspired us to create it.
Is It Sour?!
No, the flavor’s not. But it’s no secret that our democracy has gone a little sour. Huge groups of Americans face incredible barriers to voting – like voter ID laws that disproportionately keep African-Americans and other minorities from casting their ballots, confusing registration processes, and shortened early voting periods. On top of that, big money donations from corporations and wealthy elites are drowning out the voices of average Americans.
It’s Not Fair…
…and it’s not what our democracy should look like. At it’s core, a true democracy should serve everyone’s interests, not just the wealthy few. And the only way we can know what those interests are is by ensuring everyone can easily cast their vote and make their voice heard. Plus, getting rid of the big money that seeks to drown out the voices of the people in our elections certainly wouldn’t hurt either.
