Migrant Justice is Working to Empower Migrant Farmworkers
Migrant Justice is a grassroots human rights organization founded and led by immigrant farmworkers. From its base in Vermont, Migrant Justice builds farmworkers' power to organize for rights and justice, including on many of the farms supplying the cream for your favorite Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavors. Migrant Justice has successfully fought to stop the criminalization and deportation of immigrants and to expand access to housing, healthcare, driver's licenses, and higher education for all — regardless of what country they come from. Migrant Justice is also the founder of Milk with Dignity, a worker-driven human rights program supporting dairy farms and improving labor and housing conditions for farmworkers.
In October 2017, we were excited to become the first company to partner with Vermont dairy workers to adopt and implement Milk with Dignity. We’re proud of the impact it’s had on farmworkers and we’re excited to be a part of Migrant Justice’s work. Grab a waffle cone and join us!
