Burlington Vermont Ice Cream Shop
Ben & Jerry's catering was an awesome addition to my wedding. My guests still talk about it to this day!

My son has a nut allergy and the shop staff was so helpful in meeting our needs so he could enjoy his ice cream. Thanks again!

Our scoopers are trained on how to serve customers with allergies, starting with being able to answer questions about ingredients in flavors in the dipcase, and options available in prepackaged. If there's a flavor in the dipcase that the customer can enjoy without fear of an allergic reaction, the scooper will take care to avoid cross-contamination by washing their hands, washing and sanitizing a scoop, and, if necessary, opening a new bulk of ice cream to scoop from.
Ben & Jerry’s original scoop shop was located in an old gas station on the corner of St. Paul and College Street, a few blocks away from the Church Street scoop shop.

That was an initiative of our co-founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield. They were speaking and acting as private citizens, not Ben & Jerry’s or Unilever.

Giving Back In The Community
"Business has a responsibility to give back to the community." -Ben Cohen 1979
Ben & Jerry’s operates on a three-part mission that aims to create linked prosperity for everyone that’s connected to our business: suppliers, employees, farmers, franchisees, customers, and neighbors alike. Here in Burlington we do this by partnering with local organizations to build awareness and support for the social & environmental issues that we feel strongly about.
Want to learn more about Ben & Jerry's current social mission activities? Check our the Values section of our What's New page on benjerry.com.
