Ben & Jerry’s remains committed to our longstanding partnership with Vermont dairy farmers.

This includes our Caring Dairy program, which is a longstanding partnership with farmers focused on improving livelihoods, providing excellent animal care, building soil health and protecting water quality, and advancing low-carbon dairy practices to drive on-farm resilience.

It also includes the Milk with Dignity program, a worker-driven human rights program that brings together farmworkers, farmers, and buyers to ensure dignified working and living conditions throughout the dairy supply chain.

Ben & Jerry’s is aware of the idling and on-going litigation of Dairy Farmers of America’s (DFA), Saint Albans creamery. DFA has supplied milk and cream for our two ice cream factories Waterbury and St. Albans, Vermont. While the proposed closure does not impact our commitment to work with Vermont farmers and the Caring Dairy and Milk with Dignity programs, we are acting to ensure our ice cream remains Vermont's Finest.

We are hopeful a path forward can be forged to support all parties involved, and specifically the local dairy industry and all workers.
